Join us for a self-guided walking tour through the Central District as we learn more about the history of redlining in Seattle. Meet in the BelPres parking lot by 10am to carpool with others, or meet us at the first stop – 20th Ave & Madison. We plan to arrive around 10:30am.

In BelPres' Just Neighbors sermon series, we learned about the history of redlining and how it has contributed to the wealth gap between Black and White families in the United States and our region. Created by long-time residents of the Central District, this self-guided walking tour lets us get a first-hand look at how redlining shaped Seattle.

The tour covers about 2 miles and should take about 90 minutes. Download the app, and bring your phone and earbuds. If you can't join us in-person, you can experience the tour virtually at Seattle's Infamous Redline.
